1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kite website and related services at kitekids.co.za (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Kite helps families discover kid-friendly activities and events across South Africa. Listings, reviews and event information are provided for general information — always confirm details (hours, prices, suitability) with the venue before visiting.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

4. User content

Reviews, photos and other content you submit must be honest, lawful and family-appropriate. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute your content in connection with the Service. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or our community standards (including profanity or spam).

5. Hosts and listings

Venue hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. New and edited listings may be reviewed before publication. We do not guarantee placement, ranking or ongoing visibility of any listing.

Access to host features is available via a paid Host Bundle subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no partial refunds are provided. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of host features after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the Service;
• Post false, misleading or defamatory reviews;
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harm minors;
• Attempt to access another user's account or our systems without permission.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that listings are complete, current or suitable for your child. Your use of venues and activities is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Remote South (Pty) Ltd and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or any venue you visit through it.

9. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. We encourage you to contact us at hello@kitekids.co.za in the first instance to resolve any dispute informally before pursuing formal proceedings.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
