A classic Gauteng day trip destination in the Magaliesberg foothills west of Pretoria — one place where the aerial cableway, a boat cruise on the dam, the snake and animal park, an elephant sanctuary, and a weekend craft market are all within a few kilometres of each other. Families can easily fill a full day without deciding anything too far in advance. Baby and toddler friendly throughout.
