A free public garden in Claremont with towering heritage trees, including enormous Moreton Bay figs that have been growing since the 1850s. Wide open lawns give young children space to run freely, and the canopy is spectacular even by Cape Town standards. A lovely low-key stop that costs nothing and requires no planning.
